I don’t think people should worry too much about naughty old Amazon evading UK tax. I think I may have just broken their entire operation.
You know how they have a supposedly helpful thingy at the bottom, suggesting other books you might like, every time you make a purchase? Well, in the last week, I have ordered Seamus Heaney’s translation of Beowulf, the Complete Idiot’s Guide to Nazi Germany, Cross Stitch Projects, a Spanish grammar book and the collected works of Venetian detective writer Donna Leon. And I’ve noticed that the helpful thingy at the bottom of my screen has completely disappeared.
What, you mean Amazon doesn’t stock any books on needlework for Spanish-speaking Nazi-sympathising detective warriors? How very disappointing. Tee hee.
