A little sit-down

Well, it’s been busy so far, this summer holiday. I had visions of relaxing weeks unrolling in front of me, with only the distant, very veeeery distant, text pings of the teenagers’ phones interrupting the calm …… but so far we have driven to Wales and France, had one high-speed tyre blow out, seen two West End Shows (Wicked and Billy Elliot, both brilliant), and watched Harry Potter defeat his nemesis, and we’re still not even into August.

Phew! I’m exhausted. But the teenagers are out today, so I’m taking advantage of their absence to do …. absolutely nothing. I was going to do my review round up, and even push the free family ticket for four to the London Dungeon and assorted offshoots again (doesn’t anyone want it? Seriously? If not I’ll keep it for myself …..) but instead I’m going to put my feet up and have a cup of tea. Ah, lovely. See you soon 🙂

ps All my lovely book club members, don’t forget we’ll be convening soon to discuss Started Early, Took My Dog, by Kate Atkinson. Can’t wait!
