It’s review time

Well, yes, I know it’s not long since the last review time … but this is a special Bank Holiday/Back to Schooly type review …. including two fantastic giveaways. I’m spoiling you. So here we go:

First of all, one of you can win a lovely FREE £15 voucher from my gorgeous friends at Tesco to spend on their clever range of back to school bits and bobs. They have everything from pencil skirts to pencil sharpeners, and you can really get quite a lot with £15. I love their brochure, too – it’s in the form of a school exercise book. And they are even running a great Buy One, Give One Free scheme. If you buy an item of uniform under the scheme, Tesco will donate a full uniform to a child in Sri Lanka, Kenya and Bangladesh. I think that’s one of the nicest ideas I’ve heard in a long time.

To be in with a chance of winning the £15 voucher, leave me a comment and I’ll pick a lucky winner from my dashing sunhat (I’m an optimist) in a couple of days.

Next, if you’re stuck for ideas for activities for a rainy Bank Holiday, and let’s face it, who isn’t after a build-up of six rainy weeks, then try this for size.

Back in July, Make Mine Milk launched the 2% Fashion competition, a design competition inviting fans to come up with a t-shirt design communicating that milk is good for you and can be less than 2% fat. Instructions on how to enter the competition can be viewed here: http://apps.facebook.com/twopercentfashion/  There are some fabulous prizes on offer, including a £750 shopping spree. Entrants must hurry though as the competition finishes next Wednesday.

And now, yet another giveaway! Yes, I’m feeling generous today. This time, there’s a massage at Champneys on offer from the delightful folk at Wish.co.uk.  Well, we could all do with a good long massage after the summer holidays. Or I could, definitely. Wish sell experience days, giving you the chance to try something radically new, fulfil a lifelong dream or just enjoy a really different day out. Drop me a comment and you could win.

Lastly, I must mention Achica. This is a rather clever members-only shopping club of a sort I’ve not come across before. It runs short discount phases with some really top quality brands – Emma Bridgewater, the V and A, Joseph Joseph and KitchenAid have caught my eye recently. They are also running some great back-to-school/baby/toddler offers. Have a look here. I’ve ordered a couple of things now from them and, although you have to wait a week or so for delivery, everything’s been perfect, beautifully packed and a bit more interesting than stuff from the high street.
