…… and, of course, where would we have been without our amazing photographer? Lots of people have commented on how cleverly the lovely Jay Mountford managed to capture our day.
I met Jay at a bloggers’ conference where she was transforming a whole roomful of us from an unruly rabble into a beautifully organised calendar, featuring 12 sleekly assorted group shots, which sits on my desk as I write. She remained calm and, most importantly, kept us all laughing. So, when TL and I decided to marry, I knew exactly who to call.
I’m so glad she could make it, because she felt like one of the family, while remaining detached enough to catch all kinds of tiny fleeting moments – a friend admiring my ring, Child 3 trying to wrap (garotte) Child 4 up with a ribbon, everyone’s expressions as TL made his lovely speech….
It was a lovely, lovely day and ,thanks to Jay, we can look back on it whenever we like as the years unfold.
