Winning ways

So, it’s virtually the last gasp of the summer holidays, and to celebrate, I decided to plunder the depths of the lovely Tesco back-to-school box which arrived a while back. As well as some fantastically useful stuff, like white shirts, school skirts in a two-pack with elasticated waists and great white socks, there were two pairs of pumps and a raincoat so well cut that I had to look around to make sure Audrey Hepburn wasn’t hiding somewhere, about to demand it back. It seemed much too cool for school – but unfortunately Child One noticed its potential, swooped and made off with it before I could stake a claim. And there were also some great finger paints and a space hopper (remember those?) for the smallies. Something for everybody. Thank you, Tesco, you are a lifesaver.

Get ready, set, Tesco!

And, so you’re not left out, dear readers, I have a £30 Tesco online voucher for one lucky person. Just to make it clear, to use the voucher, you buy OVER £30 worth of goods (but it can be 1p over, not including delivery), then put in your voucher number at the online checkout and the £30 is wiped off. Fabulous, I think you’ll agree.

Here are Tesco’s ts and cs so I’ve covered everything: £30 to spend at until 23:59 on 31 December 2012.  Please enter your code at the online checkout. No cash value.  No change given.  Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer.  Delivery charges apply.

As if that isn’t enough, I also have tickets for a very special, super-exclusive screening of the Aardman Animation smash hit The Pirates! In an adventure with Scientists to give away, to one lucky reader together with their partner and child. We absolutely loved this when we saw it – I was torn between the pirates’ fantastic Play-Doh-like wiggly beards or the adorable ‘parrot’ Polly as my favourite part. The screening is to celebrate the film coming out on DVD and Blu-ray on 10th September.
