I’m really excited about this – I’ve been offered ten free pairs of tickets for my lovely readers (that’s you) to go to Stylist Live, a rather fabulous event held in at the Business Design Centre in North London over next weekend, from 15th – 18th October. ‘Stylist’ is a pretty broad and rather baffling term, but the organisers helpfully subtitle the event ‘culture, catwalks, cocktails and conversation’, and I’m sure we’d all like a free bit of that.
The event is hosted by Edith Bowman and Dawn O’Porter and includes workshops on everything from coding to cash management. If you’re a girl entrepreneur, if you’ve ever thought of starting your own business, if you’re a blogger, vlogger or vintage clothes flogger, there will be something in it for you. I’m going myself and I’m really looking forward to it. Caitlin Moran and Davina McColl, Nigella Lawson, Katie Piper and Yotam Ottolenghi will all be hosting talks or workshops (which cost extra by the way). Besides the slebs, there will be plenty of useful and inspiring sessions aimed at helping people into various stylist jobs (food, beauty, fashion) and loads of stalls to browse, as well as food and drink to buy.
